Orange Advear members, how are you guys today??? I feel a bit sorry, because our website is abandoned. And I don't even put Orange Advear blog in the links of my own blog.

Currently we are occupied by our jobs, Vina working at Cideng; Agnes working at Hotel Exchange, Kebun Jeruk; Andrew working/studying in Shanghai, China; Dora working hard in Freemont(cmiiw), USA; Eric working at Apple/Macintosh, Taman Anggrek; and me myself working at Datascrip, Kemayoran. Hmm... working is very different with while we're in college.

So, these are us, Orange Advear, and always gonna be Orange Advear.

Miss you guys, all friends at INTI.

Implementation Time

It's 1 month already after the final presentation.

There was some trouble at the video presentation, the sound wasn't syncron w/ the pictures, so PM decided to present the product first than did the video presentation la8r on.
Overall, the presentation was good.
thanx to all people that came to the presentation and asked questions.
Also to all the tutors and other INTI lectures^___^
Currently, Andrew in charge of training the client to use OASys.
Hopefully OASys could make the job become more efficient and reduce human error..PEACE

Tired Weeks

OMG...OMG... Next week is the Final Presentation.
Hopefully we can get all the things done.
We are far left behind from the targeted time, but all the members ( not all seeh!!! but I do) work really hard doing a super extreem programming.
We worked more than 40 hours a week to achieve the goals that we've targeted.
Other assignment from HCI,WWN and SPM makes the time is very limited. All members hardly had enuf time to sleep properly.
Moreover, moreover..... The unexpected WWN and SPM exam is reschedule to week 9, 6 weeks earlier.

Last week first private presentation, the tutors (Mr. Sammy, Mr.Revvi and Mr. Wang) give a good comment in the UI and the functional of the system generally.

Altho, there still many function and validation that still not working properly. Our plan for this week is Renny and I do another super extreem programming, where Vina leading in Documentation and preparation for final presentation with Agnes. Eric will be in charge in Video editing and Andrew,,,,, please... work on the JFreeReport!!!!

It has been 4 month since we updated this blog, WOW!!! We're not updating it not becoz we didn't do anything in the last 4 months. But it's becoz there are soooooo many things to do since we back from Kuching. so....

OASys User Interface has a big transformation. It's like we rebuilding the UI b'coz sir Revvi said that the UI is not user friendly enuf. And after we change it both client and tutors seem satisty with the UI

Next Monday, we have another meeting with client, so it's the deadline for the software. OASys must me working properly, no more bugs, and hav a good validation.

Work Hard EvriBody... JUST ANOTHER 1 WEEK 2 GO..^_^

Week 12 submissions progress & details...

All members have already submitted their work to support the documentation for this week submission as I explained below. Although their is some lack documentation but I think we can finish the submission for week 12 ASAP. Overally, I can say that the submission only for the documentation has finished about 75%.

After I got all the resources, now it is my job to combine them all. Hopefully I can create a satisfy documentation for week 12 subsmission..and my target 2 complete this documentataion is TOMORROW!For wednesday, we just prepare for the presentation..no more headache for the documentation :D (actually, the documentation can be submitted the latest on sunday but I think the sooner it is done,the better..I'm sure u guys have the same thought with me,don't u?!) so...Wish me luck guys! hehehe ^-^

Btw, how bout our project website? Is it ok?! Eric, keep update the website in our blogs, so everyone can see it and give comments,ok ?!

Netbean n package bikin gw bner2 gila, smua pathnya hrs ditulis.

Gw gila stenga mati, seharian cari cara masukin gbr ke icon internalframe, ternyata bedanya ama frame biasa pake getImage(), internalframe ga usa. Uda gw kutak katik 1/2 mati, ternyata cuma gitu.

internalframe ternyata hrs pake desktoppane br ga error kalo mo di minimize/iconfiable rese d...

WindowListener jg, ternyata dipropertiesnya harus ada yg diubah jd DO_NOTHING. Gara2 itu gw coba berkali2, tetep aja tiap kali ga bisa bikin windownya ga ke close kalo di click x nya.

Mo align center framenya, ternyata properties->code ada yg mesti diubah. OMG!! Untung Edwin kasitau. Tapi internalframe nya tetap ga bisa ke tengah...

ComboBox mo masukin item coba coding sendiri ga bisa, ternyata lewat propertiesnya baru bisa. Oh....

Bener2 d, blajar pake software sendiri begini d rasanya.

Hi guys, neh g uda buat web site orange advear, tapi ini blum final, ini baru draft aj, gila ini aj buatnya buru2, n mendadakan.
Ceritanya g d tugasin ma vina buat websitenya, gara2 liat web sitenya andi dkk, n g ga tanya kapan kumpulnya, n g masi tenang2 aj. Rencananya seh mo minjem program nya vina, katanya itu prog bagus, buat bikin wbesite n user friendly bgt, e ga taunya vina tadi nannya g, web udah d buat blum?? ternyata rabu ini presentasinya, gila langsung aj g ngebut buatnya, da mana g ga punya program ap2 buat web site, jadi itu buatnya pake notepad doang, jadi yah maklum lah klo masi berantakan. n guys, g minta tolong dunk buatin intro nya soalnya ini intronya kosong, g ga bisa buat ap2, soalnya ga ad prog sama sekali. semua prog gtu2 an blm d instal lagi neh.

2 additionl internal frame.

About new interface that vina wants, I'm still thinking about how to do it, so there is still no changes with the previous interface. And Vin, I still can't fix the bug when minimizing the internal frame, still looking for how to fix it.

Ok guyz, still looking forward for your comments. I will submit the screen shot of the interface to agnes tonight, or maybe tomorrow morning.

This is the latest interface. I already add the logo of the software. Previously, because of the logo's background is not transparent, so I'm not using it.

Good news. I already know how to use JTable, well, the simple one. I'm keep looking for how to use jinternalframe and jprogressbar.

Reminder: About Project Name..OASys..Important!

Guys, just want to remind you all regarding our project name...it's actually written as OASys ( Orange Advear System ) with O capital letter, A capital letter and S capital letter..especially for the user interface designer done by Lead Programmer(Renny) and project website designer done by Programmer(Theodora)..Girls, I just suggest that we use the same name and right spell like I told before (OASys) because what I've seen in the posting previously the user interface for login and splash screen has different name, one with OaSys and the other Oasys..I just worried if each of us has different spell about it because as a documenter, I've already wrote it as OASys in all documentation that I've submitted before. I just want to prevent misunderstood amongs members and prevent re-do task for only small mistake like that however it will waste our time. Lastly, I think it will give better look to our customer if we have a uniform project name in all component of our system (ui,website etc) -> It will prove that we are professional(consider all the small things)..hehehe ^_^..so just remind you all!..Thank's 4 ur attention! Keep the good work guys!

Starting the SAD task definition..

This week ( week 10 )our group start to prepare the documentation for week 12 submission. The submission's content is the same with the week 9 one, but with addition of SAD(Software Architecture Document). The task definition for SAD is explained below:

Vina (Project Manager)
- Complete all Use Case Specification.

Renny (Lead Programmer)
- Complete all user interface.

Andrew (Database)
- Design the database and provide all the column(attributes)for database.

Theodora (Programmer)
- Make the project website.

Agnes (Lead Documentation)
- Make the complete documentation for week 12 subsmission (Vision until SAD).

Eric (Documentation)
- Help Agnes doing part of documentation.

nb: The task definition is not final. It can be changed anytime refer to the project's needs.

Each member has already have each task for week 12. Hopefully all member can submit their specific task documentation to me SOON so I can combine it together and modify it in case there is some lack of documentation or features in it.

Announcement : Submission of all member documentation to me at least Friday,next week (Week 11).

This week is week 10, but I forgot to post about week 9 document submission detail..Actually for week 9 documentation, I devided the documentation with eric and vina got task for the use case part so there are 3 main members who involved most for week 9 submission..For details, look the explanation below:

There is some misunderstood between me and eric..He previosly thought that he must do ALL the project vision which actually I have devided before. So he must re-do in writing the project vision as I told him (only point 9-11 of project vision). Actually that's kinda wasting time but fortunately on the same day, he can give me the proper document to me.

On Friday, 1 July 2005 me, vina and eric gather in discussion room. Vina give me the use case diagram and use case specification for login and change password. Eric give me the project vision and requirements management plan to me.

Friday night, I must combine all the documentation from project vision until the use case specification. In week 9 submission, we only submit the use case specification because vina wants to modify the rest use case.

Well, at last we can submit the week 9 preliminary report on time. In this case, I submitted by sending it to Mr. Revvi as our supervisor for software project in his email(revvi@revvi.com.

Good work for vina and eric which help me completing the preliminary report!

Struggling with class diagram and the interface....

Finally i found a 'quite' good modelling tool, i have surf to around
google world and stop in korea :)

I have created the class diagram, but for sure of the correctness, i
still need to consult it with supervisor, because i still confuse about
the system package and subsytem, the use case. this is very important
to generate a good java code in the future, i just want to do it
carefully so it will be easier to code the functionalities....

While i;m struggling with those diagram, i think i can start the
general interface design. Using OmniGraffle, the picture below is the
result :

This week, so many things to be done... next week, there are many more...

SAD Task

Today I start doing the analysis. I tried using Sybase Power Designer
last night, and I felt uncomfortable with it, i mean the interfaces....
I don't know, actually I prefer Visual Paradigm, but I haven't find it.
I'm worried about task's deadline so i just do it manually using paper
...

Since Andrew and Dora won't be available until next Thursday and the
project proposal is in Andrew's house, so probably i just send the
soft-copy of project proposal and gantt chart to mr Revvi.... to get
the approval....

Today, I finished the gantt chart.. i made it as detail as possible ... every phase's tasks, resource name, external activities, etc...

hope my team will be motivated coz i've tried my best to arrange everything :D

Client Website...

This week I've been doing the Client website. So far i've 3 designs
(blue, lime green and orange yellow). This is just the sketch, so,
i'll improve it later based on the client requirement(anyway,
answering to Andi's comment, this client website is the requirement
from our client. Although it's not necessary, our group decided to
create it to improve their business). First, I want to publish it in
OA blog, but I haven't get the software yet, so maybe next time lah..

Oya, this week, Orange Advear will meet the client (this time the
boss, not the secretary) to discuss about the detail of the software
development. All I can say is Be Prepared, guys..^^
Like Vina said just write down the question, so we could know clearly
what they want, Ok..^^

Back from college, I started to create a new blog. This blog is like Orange Advear published project diary. First, I plan to add a digital clock at OA blog, but the clock won't show, than I modify the title and the bar down there... Look, it's cute rite^^, and before i decided to give up on my digital clock, andi gave me the link, so i can use the clock with dog design. I like it, matching with this blog bg^^,Thanks.
For the client website I still have no time to create it yet ( sigh...--")
